Motor Controls- Fundamentals of PLC’s
The Fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) program provides an overview, discussion and practical application of PLC equipment and programming. This course is appropriate for electricians, or other electrical technicians, who have experience with and a good understanding of motor control concepts. The curriculum is also beneficial to those who wish to learn how to apply, program, and trouble shoot PLC’s. It is strongly recommended that the IEC Level I Motor Controls or similar course is completed before attempting this course.

Motor Control PLC's limited to 12 students
Motor Controls- Level 1
12 week course
This course will provide:
- general working knowledge of motor control circuits and components
- the ability to read and understand motor control wiring diagrams
- the ability to trouble-shoot basic motor control circuits
This course consists of:
- classroom instruction
- practical application
Level 1 Motor Control is intended for:
- electricians
- other technicians that install or maintain motorized equipment in commercial and light industrial applications
The requirements to take this course are:
- a basic understanding of electricity
- some basic training experience working as an electrician or other related industry technician.
